Time to Shine Therapy is committed to balancing public accessibility and being a viable service long-term.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends $300 per 50-minute appointment; however, we recognise this isn’t achievable for many families so we are working within our means to charge below this suggested rate at this time. Time to Shine Therapy retains the right to review these fees and will always communicate with clients about any upcoming fee changes with notice.

Please note that all payments are required at the time of the consultation (unless a NDIS plan-managed participant). Please consider arriving 5 minutes early to pay prior to your appointment.

Please note: we are not able to offer bulk-billing services.

Psychology sessions with a General Registration or Endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist:

• Medicare or Private paying 50-55 minute consultation (with 5 min for administration notes) = $220 (with a valid Mental Health Care Plan rebate = $96.65 where child is present or the service pertains to the treatment of a child's health condition).

• Off-site appointments, e.g. school or home = $260 per hour (with a valid Mental Health Care Plan, a rebate is available where child is present)

• NDIS Self-Managed 50-55 minute consultations (with 5 min for administration notes) = $220.00

• NDIS Plan Managed or NDIA Managed 50-55 minute consultations (with 5 min for administration notes) = $222.99

Psychology appointments with an endorsed Clinical Psychologist:

• Medicare or Private paying 50-55 minute consultation = $260 (with a valid Mental Health Care Plan, rebate = $141.85 where MHCP participant is present or the service pertains to the treatment of a that person’s health condition).

• Off-site appointments, E.g. school or home = $300 per hour (with a valid Mental Health Care Plan, a rebate is available where child is present)

• NDIS Self-Managed 50-55 minute consultations (with 5 min for administration notes) = $260.00

Psychology appointments with a Provisional Psychologist:

• Rates vary between $125.00 - $160.00 per appointment.

Your assessment will need to be tailored to your young person’s individual needs so we do not provide exact costs here (you will need to enquire about this). We believe in tailoring assessment to what you need, rather than charging an up-front cost (which promotes speed of completion). This often allows us to complete the assessment more affordably for our clients, providing only what is needed for that particular investigation.

Time required to conduct comprehensive assessments vary between clients and are based upon areas of concern, your child’s age and reasonable expectations of attendance to assessment tasks.

As a guide, time required to complete assessment tasks may range from 4 hours – 10 hours, inclusive of time allowance for analysis and interpretation of the assessment and subsequent generation of report.

$880.00 - $2200.00 + a report fee.

Each appointment remains the same cost as explained in the “individual appointments” tab above.

Our reports are tiered based on how complex they are:

Tier 1: Cognitive/Adaptive Functioning assessment = $440.00 report fee

Tier 2: Exploring ADHD = $550.00 report fee

Tier 3: Exploring ASD/SLD = $660.00 report fee

Tier 4: Exploring multiple diagnoses = $660.00-$800.00 report fee.

Please note, that the report will only be released once the full payment has been received.

Time to Shine Therapy understands that sometimes life gets in the way of making it to your scheduled appointment. We do try our best to be lenient where we can toward unforeseen late notice cancels of appointments.

If, for some reason you need to cancel or postpone the appointment, we ask that at least 24 hours of notice is given. This is to ensure that the appointment time can be offered to another client. Should less than 24 hours of notice be given of cancellation, then a cancellation fee will be charged. This fee is outlined in your consent form and it is suggested that this is read carefully and understood before making an appointment.

Cancellation can be done via email at reception@timetoshinetherapy.com or telephone (9436 9446). Should your cancellation occur with less than 4 hours to the appointment then 100% of the session fee will apply.

This is an essential charge for our staff as less time does not allow us to fill the appointment and we cannot recoup losses from late cancellations or no shows.
